With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lydia Ward (Mount Prospect, Illinois), who passed away on November 29, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Manuel Dantes. She is survived by: her husband Richard Ward; her children, Edward (Agnes), Edwin (Jane) and Edna (Roy); her stepchildren, Rick (Vicki), Lorelei (Tim) and John (Traci); her grandchildren, Richard (Soky), Rhianne (Ryan), Janice (Ian), Alvin (Anna), Giselle, Angelique, Azriel, Raquel Lydia (Mark), Brett, Elisa, Meghan (Christopher), Bridget, Jack (Hannah), Maggie and Max; her great grandchildren, Sophia, Amelia, Oliver, Wesley, Kai, Leo, Mason, Connor, Emma and Eloise; and her daughter-in-law Leony.
Lydia and Richard weathered the pandemic in their downtown Chicago condo before moving on to the tranquility and space of their Island Lake home and finally to their assisted living facility in Mount Prospect.
