It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Simkus (Mount Prospect, Illinois), born in Montague, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 15, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Paul departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Paul may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Paul leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his mother-in-law Mary Rita Byerwalter; his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Lewis and Marylin Hamilton; and his mother Helen Wolfe. He is survived by: his wife Janet Simkus; his children, Renée Schlenhardt of Arlington Heights and Bryan Simkus (Megan) of Seattle, Washington; and his grandchildren, Anna and Beckett Schlenhardt of Arlington Heights, Illinois..
