He is survived by: his mother Marjilou Olson; his sons, Michael Rose, David Olson (Erin) and Jason Olson (Lauren); his siblings, Caryn Olson, Douglas (Kim) and Jeff Olson; his grandchildren, Mason, Nicholas, Wyatt, Griffin, Rhys, Madelyn and Ruby; and his pet Rusty. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Whether discussing the Bears or Blackhawks (haven't wasted our time talking about the Bulls in years); or reminiscing about the Great NIU snowball fight of 1977 where his brother Jeff was part of the losing side, Pensacola or St Paul softball tournaments, or too many memorable times with Wally, we always had quite a laugh and left in a great mood.
