It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. Smiskol (Mount Prospect, Illinois), who passed away on July 19, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Smiskol; his parents, Edmund Smiskol and Rose Smiskol; and his siblings, Marilyn Franceschini and Walter Smiskol.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Filson (Bill), Craig Smiskol (Monika), Sharon Blaisdell (Bob) and Mark Smiskol (Brittany Obey); and his grandchildren, Cody Filson, Garrett Filson, Katherine Filson, Tyler Filson, Amy Blaisdell, Lauren Blaisdell, Andrew Smiskol and Emilia Gunty.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been set up to help with final expenses.
