He was predeceased by: his parents, Adeline Buerger and Carl Buerger. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Betty Dietrich (Bill), Rich Buerger (Elizabeth) and Audrey Altmayer (Bob); his grandsons, Jack William, Connor Michael Dietrich, Jake Robert, Luke Richard and Dylan James Altmayer; and his siblings, Carl Buerger (Helen) and Ruth Clark (late James).

The family is asking for no flowers, while Rich loved his garden it was more for eating than pretty flowers.
