He was predeceased by: his parents, Benny Cardella and Raquel Cardella; his grandparents, Eulalio and Vincenta Veladez Mata; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Joan Butera; and his friends, Leroy and Aldona Gallo.
He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie (Jaime Barraza), Lisa (Joe Vena) and Katie (David Lauger); his siblings, Kathy Cagle (late Charles), Eddy Cardella (Lorie) and Mike Cardella (Barb); and his siblings-in-law, Rose Mallardi (Louis), Raimonda Stasevicius (John) and Jeanne Butera. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
