He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Janak and Irene Janak. He is survived by: his children, Christine Zimmerman (Eric), Jacqueline Tierney (Shane), Nicholas Szypulinski and Valerie Janak; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Emily, Henryk, Benjamin, Finn, Harrison and Charlotte; and his brothers, Edward, Richard and Mark Janak.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the St Emily Catholic Church (1400 E Central Rd, Mt Prospect, IL 60056-2650). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Maryhill Catholic Cemetery (8600 N Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714).
