He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Joseph and Marie Ellen Koch (Redmond); his siblings, Donald (Marylyn), Maurice "Bill", Robert (Betty), Patricia Koch, Mary Ellen Ferrill (Virgil) and Sara Koch O. P.; his granddaughter Dawn Root Bronson; and his siblings-in-law, Marguerite Schneider (Charles), Robert Nolan and Dr. Victor Zurita.

He is survived by : his wife Norma Nolan; his son Phil Koch (Becky) of Mount Sterling; his granddaughter Danielle Root; his daughter Ann Cooper (Brian) of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Kate Cooper (Will Hoyer), Andrew Cooper (Josie), Ellen Broich (Adam) and Greg Cooper (Kristin); his son Ken Koch (Mary); his grandsons, Patrick Koch (Erica LiBritz), Daniel Koch (Jackie), David Koch (Meggie) and Keith Koch (Nicole); his daughter Jane Morris (Mike) of Princeton; his grandchildren, Aaron Morris, Laura Morris and Eliza McNamara (Connor); his sons, Dale Koch (Barb) of Chapel Hill, N. C. and Tom Koch (Marcy) of North Mankato; his grandchildren, Corynn Scaminace (Dan), Jamie Rohwer (Chris), Blake Koch (Jessi Swanoski) and Evan Koch (Alison); his son Tim Koch (Vicki) of Leadville; his grandsons, Charles Koch, Joseph Koch and Matthew Koch; his son John Koch (Deborah) of Evansville; his granddaughters, Ashley Caringer (Clint) and Isabelle Koch; his sisters, Joan Zurita of Rolling Meadows and Rosalee Shank (James) of Decatur; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Wort (James), Tom Nolan (Judy), Agnes Redmond (Richard) and Ruth Nolan. He is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary School, Brown County Farm Bureau Foundation, Brown County Fire Protection District or a charity of the donor's choice. In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree or red rose bush in Charlie's memory.
