She was predeceased by : her parents, Lloyd Albert and Ruth Newell Smay; her husband Donald William Busen; her stepdaughter Lynda Wester; and her brothers, Stanley and Sidney Smay.

She is survived by : her daughters, Terri Brauer of St. Louis and Sandra Bullard (Harold) of Rushville, Illinois.; and her stepdaughter Karen Anderson of Atlanta, Georgia.. She is also survived by Four grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, and several step great grandchildren also survive along with two nieces and one nephew.

Memorials are suggested to Brown County Against Cancer or the Mt. Sterling First Christian Church.
