He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Simpson and Tressie Simpson (Elliott); and his siblings, Wanda Simpson, Herman Simpson, Elmo Simpson and Sherman Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Simpson (Barnard); his sons, Keith Simpson (Florence) of Cocoa Beach and Marshal Simpson (Caryn) of Mount Vernon; his grandchildren, Charles Simpson, Lauren Simpson, Camdin Simpson and Madison Shepard; and his siblings, Doris Rowland of Texas, Betty Brown of Georgia, Norma Haegele of Fairfield, Joan Tyler of Mount Vernon, Ellen Bass of Montgomery, Illinois, Elmer Simpson and Walter Simpson of Fairfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Allen's honor to Park Avenue Baptist Church.
