She is survived by: her husband Lavern Austin; her children, Steven Austin (Holly) of Mt. Vernon and Sondra Caldwell (Mark) of Texico; her grandchildren, Jana Mullinax (Rodney) of Mt. Vernon, Marci Sherwin (Dean) of Texico, Adam Caldwell (Erin) of Terre Haute, Kane Austin (Ashley) of Inman and Adrian Austin (Quest Newberry) of Brenham, Texas; her great grandchildren, Quinton Mullinax, Alexia Sherwin, Elias Mullinax, Walker Sherwin, Violet Caldwell, Milo Caldwell and Asher Caldwell; her brother Edgar Byars of Texico; and her siblings-in-law, Sheila Byars and Chalon Austin (Effie Mae) of Mt. Vernon.
