He is survived by: his friends, Ray McClain, Joe Sanders, Cedric Mitchell and Earl Jones; his wife Carolyn Maclin; his daughter Tonda Jackson (Maclin); his son-in-law Marc Jackson; his grandchildren, Jordan Maclin, Derrynn Maclin, Adalynn Maclin, Destynn Maclin, Davynn Maclin and Johslynn Campbell; his sister Pearlestine Grady (Macklin); and his siblings-in-law, Charles Grady, Marva Eggleston, Patricia Hudson and Charles Eggleston. He is also survived by his uncles, aunts, cousins and friends, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newell Funeral Home (601 S 42nd St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
