She was predeceased by : her father Leslie T. McGehee. She is survived by : her husband Donald Joseph Scott; her children, Deborah Winkler (James) of Georgetown and Brian Scott (Lisa) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and her grandchildren, Rachel Mulley (Jimmy) of Georgetown, Jimmy Winkler (Cassie) of Georgetown and Sarah Scott White (Michael) of Smyrna, Tennessee. She is also survived by eight great-grandsons.

Memorials may be made in Carolyn's honor to Park Avenue Food Pantry.
