He is survived by: his wife Jessica Shaffer; his children, Hudson of Mooresville, NC and Leighton of Mooresville, NC; his mother Linda Shaffer of Mt. Vernon, IL; his parents-in-law, Robert and Lynn Walsh of Troutman, NC; his siblings, Kim James (Jason) of Mt. Vernon, IL, Tarra Jennings of Pinckneyville, IL and Roy Stuart of Belleville, IL; his aunts, Pam Bowman (Jim) of Tupelo, MS, Vicky Porter of Belden, MS and Cindy Berryhill (Lucas) of Tupelo, MS; his cousins, Matt Lavender of Tupelo, MS, Michael Bowman of Gainesville and Adam Bowman of Knoxville, TN; and his grandmother Erma Newell of Tupelo, MS. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Colter's family requests that donations be made to support his wife, Jessica, and children, Hudson and Leighton, during this difficult time. A GoFundMe has been set up in their name for those who wish to contribute.
