We are sad to announce that on November 2, 2025, at the age of 69, Danny Rainey of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Rainey and Gloria Rainey (Casada); his sibling's children, Amy Burk, Sara Gutierrez and Jimmy Rainey; and his sister Cindy Jane Gagznos.
He is survived by: his children, Brittney Kent of Oregon, Jennifer Danielle Rainey of Kentucky and Joshua Keith Rainey of Kentucky; and his siblings, Kerry Rainey of Mt. Vernon, Jerry Rainey (Suzanne) of Illinois, Sue Bean of Indiana, Barbara Ortgiesen (Carl) of Woodlawn, Judith Lambert (Brian) of DuQuoin and Maureena Burdin of Killeen, Texas..
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the South Hickory Hill Cemetery (7531 N Vermont Ln, Mt Vernon, IL 62864).
