It is with sadness that the passing of Darlene Mae Mulch of Mount Vernon, Illinois is shared. Darlene, born on May 29, 1930, passed away on June 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Wilson and Nellie Wilson (Matthews); her husband Daniel Mulch; her son Roger Dale Mulch; and her siblings, Leon Wilson, Vera Reece, Gene Wilson, Doris Halfacre, Rheta Harlow (Rita), Dorothy Bridgeman, Shirley Capps and Beverly Byars.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathie Dodson (Larry) of Kell and Donna Mellott (Billy) of Woodlawn, Illinois; her grandchildren, Lorie Ullery (Josh) of Mt. Vernon, Justin Mulch (Lynne) of Mt. Vernon, Mark Dodson (Stephanie) of Kell, Christopher Mellott of Damiansville and Blake Mellott of Woodlawn; her great grandchildren, Joel Mellott, Raeghyn Dodson, Trygg Aaron, Annaleigh Dodson, Adrieanna Dodson, Lainey Mulch, Jentry Mulch, Alexandria Dodson, Hailee Ullery and Brayden Aaron; her great great grandchild Reeves Aaron; her siblings, Vada Tate of Florida, Jolene Wells of Mt. Vernon, Sarah Lou Bicknell of Mt. Vernon, Max Wilson (Shirley) of Dix, Carroll Wilson (Mary Leslie) of Georgia and Charles E. Wilson (Angie) of Dix; and her sisters-in-law, Sarah Prather of Benton and Dixie Stonecipher of Springfield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Darlene's wishes, an anatomical donation was made to support medical education and research, and a celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix. Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, and will be accepted at the service, or by mail to the Osborn Funeral Home, P.O. Box 130, Dix, Illinois 62830.
