He is survived by: his wife Jane Byars of Mt. Vernon; his children, Karen Byars Roth of Aviston, Illinois, John Burge (Leann) of Mt. Vernon and Chris Burge (Sheila) of Mt. Vernon; his stepchildren, Crystal Hefner (Jeff) of Harrisburg and Russell Bishop of Carrier Mills, Illinois; his grandchildren, Andrew Burgin (Sherrie), Alyssa Spicuzza (Tanner), Aaron Burge (Kelsey), Nathan Roth, Reagan Roth, Lane Bond (Kalyn), Connor Burge (Lyndsey), Colton Burge (Miranda), Breanna Hefner (Sean) and Dylan Hefner; his great grandchildren, Trey, Teigan Spicuzza, Oliver, Louise Burge, Maggie, Junie Burge and Kouvr Bond; his sister Shirley Wilson (Max) of Dix; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Smith of Mt. Vernon and Sarah Lou Bicknell (Wilson) of Mt. Vernon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
