It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald W Hayes of Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reba Hayes (Connley) and Elijah W Hayes; his wife Carolyn Hayes (Lawerence); and his son Jim Dill. He is survived by: his sons, Donald Hayes (Lynn) and Kenneth Hayes; his grandchildren, Nicholas Hayes (Brandi), Vince Dill (Lindsay) and Vanessa Dill; and his great grandchildren, Evie, Coleman Dill, Braxton Scrivner and Maverick Hayes.
