We are sad to announce that, on May 6, 2026, at the age of 91, Gerald Wayne Drake of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Drake and Mayme I. Drake (McGahan); and his sisters, Martha Vanlanot, Edna Lee and Mary Cooper.

He is survived by: his son Michael Wayne Drake of St. Louis; his granddaughters, Gennifer Lynn Tisdale (Bryan) of Mt. Vernon and Dakota Paige Drake of Phoenix, AZ; his great grandchildren, Gabe Tisdale, Colin Tisdale and Brother Roy Drake (Sharon); and his brothers, Dale Drake and Bill Drake. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in Gerald's honor to First United Methodist Church, Angels on Assignment or the VFW in Charleston, IL.
