She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Bailey and Mary Bailey (Turner); her husband Louis Knox; and her sons, Marvin Dare, John Dare and Roy Dare.
She is survived by: her son Alva Duane Dare (Juanita) of Mount Vernon. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
