Ian Douglas Donald Peak Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 10, 2025, at the age of 38, Ian Douglas Donald Peak of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Ian is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Ian's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Wayne, Martha Harder, Herb and Ruth Peak. He is survived by: his parents, James H. Peak and Catherine E. Peak (Harder); his wife Anna M. Peak (Knight); his sister Elizabeth Peak of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; and his niece Peyton Sloan. He is also survived by several nieces by marriage; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hughey Funeral Home (1314 Main St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Ian 's honor to Friends of Giant City Park.
