Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Edward and Cherlene Palma Copen (Wallace). He is survived by : the mothers of children, Mildred Motes of Waltonville and Linda Debeaux of Marble Hill, Missouri; his children, Bonnie Green (Gerald) of Mount Dora, Christina Wolf (Shannon) of Mount Vernon, Kathleen Bryant of Dix, James Copen, Jr. of Jefferson City, Patti Copen of Missouri and Palma Copen-Skaggs of Marble Hill, Missouri; and his stepdaughter Rebecca Phillips of Waltonville, Illinois. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
