He was predeceased by: his wife Cindy Brookman; and his brother Lyle Brookman. He is survived by: his children, Heather Stephenson (Brad), Melanie Brookman and Jaime Beveridge (Aaron); his grandchildren, Nathan Rector (Kylee), Samantha Klinger (Collin), Mikenzie Alvis and James Beveridge; his great grandchildren, Kayson Rector and Addie K.; his parents, Jerry Brookman and Merrillyn Brookman (Duncan); his siblings, Jena Schierbaum (Glenn) and Brent Brookman (Kathy); his nieces and nephews, Amber Eaton (Nate), Wes Schumm (Teri), Dustin Schierbaum (Amber), Cody Swartz (Megan), Brandon Brookman (Lacy), Teresa Hails (Casey), Danielle Thompson (Jesse), Emily Brookman (Jared) and Ethan Brookman; and his significant other Tish Palmer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harmony Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
