With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Louise Schulte of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on April 24, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Hugo Joseph and Agnes Marie Kern (Oģrinc); her husband Arthur "Art" George Schulte; her son-in-law John "Wes" Clemens; her grandson Blake Mays; and her siblings, George Kern, Lucille Kern and Mary Holder.

She is survived by : her children, Debra A. Denham of Mount Vernon, Arthur J. Schulte (Cheryl) of Mount Vernon, William "Bill" A. Schulte (Vickie) of Mount Vernon, Donna M. Mays (Donnie) of Mount Vernon, Jane E. Clemens of Mount Vernon and John A. Schulte (Randi) of Fields; her grandchildren, Stephanie Downey (Gabe) of Saint Peters, Suzanne Gipperich (Randy) of Florissant, Brandon Schulte (Lea) of Bonnie, Whitney Waldman (Brett) of Mount Vernon and Brian L. Mays (Jenafer) of Wesley Chapel, Florida; and her sisters, Agnes Marie Johnson of Saint Louis, Missouri, Dorothy Indelicato (Joe) of Saint Louis, Missouri and Kathy Inabnit (Larry) of Saint Louis, Missouri. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in Joan's honor to Saint Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
