We bid farewell to John W. Busscher in Mount Vernon, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 23, 2026 at the age of 70. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Busscher and Claire "Pat" Busscher; his wife JoAnna Young; and his brother-in-law Ben Sloat. He is survived by: his siblings, Terry Sloat of Cynthiana, Susie Coughlin (Kenny) of Centralia, Illinois, Michael Busscher of Kirbysville and Joseph Busscher of Odin, Illinois; and his nieces and nephews, Brandi Hill, Cindi Batson, Heather Hart, Britton Dye, Adam Anderson and Matthew Busscher.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in John's honor to the Sandoval Public Library or the Centralia Humane Society and will be accepted for his family at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home 234 South Elm Street Centralia, IL 62801.
