June Newton Obituary

In loving memory of June Newton of Mount Vernon, Illinois, who departed this world on August 31, 2024 at the age of 92. June leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Jesse and Cecil Rose Braddy (Shores); her son Max Lee Newton, Jr.; and her sisters, Shirley Devore, Pat Tolley and Betty Owens.

She is survived by: her children, James A. Newton of Sesser, Illinois, Carmen E. Webb (Marvin) of Opdyke and Carla J. Newton (Lendell Fullerton) of Salem, Illinois; her grandchildren, Scott Webb of Opdyke, Larae Webb of McLeansboro, Caressa Weber of Salem and Seth Newton (Haley) of Herrin, Illinois; and her great grandchild Hazel Newton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in June's honor to the Centralia Humane Society.
