He is survived by: his sons, Curtis Whiting (Taylor) of Mount Vernon and Connor Whiting (Kalli) of Mount Vernon; and his siblings, Thomas Wright (Ruth) of Stafford, Virginia, John Whiting of Texas and Jodi Schuster (Stephen) of Dahlgren, Illinois. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
