He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Bechtel (Ullery); his children, Brittany Bechtel (Cody Benjamin) of Bluford, IL, Tiffani Walden Holder (Seth) of Texico, IL and Kyle Walden of Houston; his grandchildren, Ethan Holder, Kylee Holder, Brantley Benjamin, Braxton Benjamin, Brentley Benjamin, Bailey Benjamin and Blake Walden; and his siblings, Frank Bechtel (Joyce) of McLeansboro, IL and Mary Ellen Bechtel of Mount Vernon, IL. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
