She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Ralph Garrett and Tina Bernice (Plumley); her spouse Buddie Tackitt; her children, Debra LeGrand, Sammi Kerher, Amy Scott and Michael "Mike" Tackitt; her siblings, Katie Moore, Flo Richardson, Hazel Wilkerson and Charles Garrett; and her son-in-law David "Docky" Morgan.

She is survived by: her children, Robyn Morgan of Belle Rive, Susan Arnett of Dix, Steven Tackitt of Mount Vernon and Ann Sanderson of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and her sister Roxie Pilcher of Mount Vernon, Illinois.. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
