She was predeceased by: her parents, William Cochrum and Anna Bell Cochrum (Adams); her husband Larry H. Schmidt; her children, Stephen Schmidt and Robyn Borgan; and her great grandchild Aaron Reed.
She is survived by: her children, John Schmidt of Ransom, Amy Ward (Jeff) of Saint Albans, Donald Schmidt (Keri) of Saunemin and Steven Tate (Jan) of Mansfield, Illinois; her grandchildren, Adam Ward, Lauren Bazzoli, Caitlin McCracken, Douglas Vaughan, Kelly Henning, Kristy Berwick, Stephen Schmidt, Jr., Matthew Schmidt, Kelsey Schmidt, Ryli Schmidt and Keri Collins; and her great great grandchildren, Ryker West, Kayson West and Braxton Reed. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hughey Funeral Home (1314 Main St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Linda's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
