She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson Hicks and Cloria Hicks (Kirgan); her husband Cyrus McNicol "Mac" Arnold; her siblings, Delbert Hicks, Verlin Hicks and Margaret Hicks; her half-sister Charlene Black; her sister-in-law Ella Nattier; her sons-in-law, Al Smith and John Carter; and her son Alan Arnold.

She is survived by: her children, Gerry Arnold of Mt. Vernon, IL, Rebecca Smith of Mt. Vernon, IL and A. Renee Carter of Streator, Illinois; her grandchildren, Jennifer Estes, Jayson Elliott, Christopher Arnold (Juha), Kari Arnold, Nathan Arnold (Ashton), Rylie Roubal (Brian), Caylee Roudebush (Ryan) and Lyta Carter; her great grandchildren, Sophia Estes, Caleb Estes, Yuna Arnold, Lovett Arnold, Pax Roudebush and Kit Roudebush; her brother Hershel Hicks (Betty); and her half-brothers, Richard Holland and Larry Holland. She is also survived by two nieces, one nephew, extended family members, and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home (234 S Elm St, Centralia, IL 62801). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Patoka City Cemetery.
