With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marianne I. Carnahan (Mount Vernon, Illinois), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marianne left this world on October 4, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harmon Irvin and Brooke Irvin (Fitzgerrell); her husband Victor Carnahan; her brothers, Bill and Gene Irvin; her son Mark Carnahan; and her grandchildren, Ryan Crego and Megan Skorup.

She is survived by: her children, Patricia Bauer (Peter) of Wheaton, Vickie Crego of Mt. Vernon, Scott Carnahan (Theresa) of Minooka and Rebecca Steinberger (Kirk) of Kingwood, Texas.; her grandchildren, Adam Bauer of Wheaton Illinois, Brian Bauer of Wheaton, Graham Bauer (Anna) of Elmhurst, Reid Bauer (Julie) of Fort Meyers, Jeff Crego (Amanda) of Frisco, Caitlin Hedberg (Adam) of Shorewood, Carolynn Davis (Steve) of Dandridge, Michael Carnahan (Gina) of Minooka, Brett Carnahan (Krista) of New Lenox, Tyler Carnahan (Abby) of Chicago, Heather Simmons (Lee) of Kingwood, Brittany Pelker (Nicholas) of Kingwood, Chelesie Ilbery (Jeremy) of Kingwood, Treaver Skorup (Briana) of Kingwood and Victor Steinberger of Kingwood, Texas.; and her great grandchildren, Teddy, Tucker Bauer, Kennedy, Brooks Bauer, Brendin Crego, Alaina, Everett Crego, Brooklyn, Brody, Isabella Hedberg, Benny, Lilly Davis, Lucas, Dylan, Eli Carnahan, Caden, Eli Simmons, Ryan Gilcrest, Hazen, Archer Ilbery, Jace, Austin and Owen Skorup.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hughey Funeral Home (1314 Main St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorials may be made in Marianne's honor to Central Christian Church.
