With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Edith Tacke of Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on September 18, 2023 at the age of 103. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Fletcher and Roxy Opal Linton (Ballard); her brother William Linton; her grandchildren, Ashley Anders, Roxanne Tacke and Christopher Anders; her great grandchild Kameryn Dunahoo; and her son-in-law Frank Decker.

She is survived by: her husband Albert F. Tacke; her children, Verna Decker of Hurst and Buddy Tacke (Regina) of Maineville, Ohio; and her granddaughters, Tina Ellis of Centralia and Heather Brewer of O'Fallon. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mary Edith's honor to Harrison Cemetery.
