It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy K. Spencer of Mount Vernon, Illinois, born in Saint Joseph, Missouri, who passed away on April 29, 2026, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Peggy is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Allen and Freida; her stepfather Robert Lonchar; and her siblings, James Allen and Carol Maddox.
She is survived by: her husband Jeff Spencer; her son Scott McGill (Johanna); her siblings, Paula Crain (Bob), Brian Allen (Mary) and Robyn Johnson (Matt); her mother-in-law Carilyn Spencer; and her sister-in-law Susan Throgmorton (Todd). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
