She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Sweitzer and Zelma Marie Sweitzer (Watkins); and her husband Tommy Joe Francois. She is survived by: her daughter Deena Barghothi (Mark McCarthy) of Jersey City, NJ; her stepchildren, Jennifer Lynn McElwain (Andrew) of Washington and Thomas Joseph "TJ" Francois of Springfield; and her grandchildren, Greg, Mike, Emma, Jacob, Abby and Matthew.

Memorials may be made in Sharon's honor to the American Battlefield Trust or the Jefferson County Historical Society.
