She was predeceased by: her parents, John Kenneth and Reatha Mae Hayes (Steward); her husband Fredrick "Fred" Reeker; her brothers, Jim Hayes and Terry Hayes (Judy); and her brother-in-law Larry Flota.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Upton (David) of Mount Vernon, Lisa Meador (David) of Mount Vernon and Alan Reeker (Tammy) of Mount Vernon; her grandchildren, Heather Pace (Jason), Kyle Upton (Brittany), Aaron Reeker (Jennifer), Amber Schierbaum (Dustin), Austin Reeker (Kari), Avery Reeker (Rebecca) and Colten Meador (Laura); her siblings, Judy Flota and Randy Hayes (Vicki); and her sister-in-law Shirley Hayes. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (1601 Salem Rd, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Shirley's honor to Wesley United Methodist Church.
