He is survived by: his son Josh Elliott (Tena) of Mount Vernon; his stepdaughter Shanyon Carter (Chris) of Fairview Heights, Illinois; his grandchildren, Jaxon Elliott, Jaci Elliott, Travin Elliott, Trace Elliott and Cassidy Carter; his siblings, Danny Elliott (Pat) of Woodville, Jan Summerson (Jim) of Wilson, Ed Elliott (Denise) of Mount Vernon, Debbie Marlow (Larry) of Mount Vernon, Gary Elliott (Nancy) of Mount Vernon, Lauri Etling (Greg) of Imperial and Patti Rockett (Billy) of Mount Vernon; his siblings-in-law, Steven Thomas of McCleansboro, Illinois, Debra Wall (James Parker) of McLeansboro and Janice Mitchell of Mount Vernon; and his friend Randy "Buzz" Green of Mount Vernon.
