She was predeceased by : her father Clinton Shepard; her spouse Darrold Allen; her son Shawn Otterson; and her brother Michael Shepard. She is survived by : her daughters, Shanna Huston (Keith Stoeber) of Mount Vernon and Stephanie Nguyen (Bao) of Simi Valley, California; her grandchildren, Valerie Huston (Tyler Anderson), Ryan Nguyen, Allison Nguyen, Ruth Nguyen and Brooklyn Huston; her great grandchildren, Paisleigh Anderson, Princeton Anderson and Phoenix Anderson; and her sister Ginger Armstrong.

Memorials may be made in Susan's honor to the American Cancer Society.
