He was predeceased by: his father Alva V. Shehorn; his stepfather Lee Smith; his brother Wesley Shehorn; his nephew Wesley Shehorn, Jr.; and his parents-in-law, George and Jean Shelton.
He is survived by: his mother Carolyn Louise Smith (Littrell); his wife Judith "Judy" Shehorn (Shelton); his children, Shannon Michelle Henry (Brad) and George Wade Shehorn (Cassandra); his grandchildren, Kaley Treffert, Drake Henry, Bentley Shehorn, Evan Shehorn, Destiny Hardig and Bentley Ibarra; his brothers, Shawn Crunk (Lee Ann), London Soloman (Carol) and Jason Shehorn; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Helpinstine, Linda Patterson (Bob) and Georgeanna Boughers (Larry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newell Funeral Home (601 S 42nd St, Mt Vernon, IL 62864). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Vincent 's honor to Opdyke Cemetery.
