He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter F. Hayes and Annetta R. Hayes (Decker); his siblings, Kathleen Hayes and Jeffery Hayes; and his brothers-in-law, Deon Parrish, Gary Badgett, Jerry Sandy and Richard McKenzie.
He is survived by: his wife Tracy Hayes; his daughters, Patricia Sechrest (Vern) of Mannington, Paige Oltmann (Graham Schloesser) of Troy and Karlee Williams (Dylan) of Nashville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Christopher Tillery, Brandon Tillery, Noah Wonch and Kashton Williams; and his siblings, Gary Hayes (Phyllis), Barbara Payne (Connie), Thelma Parrish, Carolyn Badgett, Janet Sandy, Marolyn "Mert" Corso and Sunday McKenzie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
