He was predeceased by: his parents, William McClellan and Myrtle McClellan; his children, Michael McClellen and Teresa Phillips; his grandmother Fannie Jurcich; and his sisters, Bertha Fredrickson, Suella Cox, Vickie Ashment and Billie Gilbreath.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Bullock; his daughter Jennifer Benedict (Rick) of Mount Vernon; his grandchildren, Danielle Dalsanto of Olney, Sierra Grider (Robert) of Mount Vernon and Karlee Benedict of Mount Vernon; his great grandchild Brooks Grider; his sister Bobbie; his siblings-in-law, J. T. Ingram of DuQuoin, Illinois and Donna Bullock of Johnston City, Illinois; his brother Larry; his sister-in-law Sheri Bullock of DuQuoin, Illinois; his foster sons, Randy and Walter Palmowski; and his half-sister Patti Utley (Robert) of Sesser, Illinois.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in William's honor to West Salem Trinity Methodist Church.
