Richard Burg Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Burg of Mount Zion, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 20, 2025 at the age of 71. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard Burg to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father Bob Burg; his wife Elaine Robbins; and his brother-in-law Paul. He is survived by: his mother Doll Burg of Decatur; his children, Tiffany Brown (Andy) of Hockley, TX, Patty Hatton (PJ) of Fulshear, TX and Todd Greenwood of Effingham, IL; his siblings, Bob Burg Jr. (Marcia) of Decatur, IL, Bill Burg Sr. (Margie) of Port Charlotte, FL, Dan Burg (Regina) of La Porte, TX and Jean Higar of Mt. Zion, IL; and his grandchildren, Ashley Cortez, Jeffery Hatton (Kristin), Justin Holley, Emily Holley, Destiny Greenwood and Hunter Greenwood.
Although Rick did not serve in the military, he was a strong supporter of all those who serve and made many donations to the Wounded Warriors Project. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rick's memory to: support.woundedwarriorproject.org.
