In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Shirley had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Shirley may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Smith and Frances Smith (McFearson); and her husband Robert A. Gotts Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Robert A. Gotts Jr. (Sharon) of Decatur, Timothy Gotts (Deb) of Decatur, Joy Ann Woods (Kevin) of Mt. Zion, Daniel Gotts (Elini) of Florida and Tina Gotts of Ohio; and her sister Judy Aldrich (Jerry) of Michigan. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
