He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William A. Marietta and Kathryn O. Marietta (Wainscott); his wife Mildred "Millie" Lay of Mt. Zion; his daughter Shawna Lynch of Mt. Zion; his sister Cheryl Kruse of Raleigh, NC; his grandsons, Brett Lynch of Carbondale, IL, Brandon Lynch (Ashley) of Mt. Zion and Bryce Lynch (Reve Chaney) of Dalton City; his great grandchildren, Harley, Kiersyn, Kayden, Dagon, Easton, Haven, Skylar and Theo; his niece Kris Sloman (Jim) of Raleigh, NC; his nephew Michael Kruse of Phoenix, AZ; and his great-nieces, Kaley Sloman and Emily Sloman.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mt. Zion or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
