William L. Hoffman Jr. Obituary
We announce the death of William L. Hoffman Jr. of Moweaqua, Illinois, born in Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on September 6, 2026, at the age of 90. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William L. Hoffman and Katherine Hoffman (Boos); his son Frank Hoffman; and his siblings, Mary, Margaret, Wilma and Frank.
He is survived by: his children, Shelleye Bucklieu (John), Robert "Rob" Hoffman, Penny Skowronski and Matthew Hoffman; his wife Carolyn M. Dunn (Vaughn); and his children, Tammy Carlson (Daryl), Sherry Pomatto (Jake) and Bradley Dunn (John). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Baptist Church (230 N Main St, Moweaqua, IL 62550).
Memorials may be made to the church or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
