He was predeceased by: his grandfather Sabino Rodriguez; and his nephew Yandel Fernandez. He is survived by: his parent Maribel Rodriguez (David Barrera); his grandmother Maura Rodriguez of Mundelein; his sons, Emilio Alexander Fernandez and Lorenzo Fernandez; and his siblings, Stephanie Fernandez of Mundelein, Gabriel Fernandez of Round Lake, David Barrera of Ingleside and Daniel Barrera. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Symonds-Lakes Funeral Home (111 W Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Santa Maria Del Polopo Catholic Church (40 N Seymour Ave, Mundelein, IL 60060). A burial will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Ascension Catholic Cemetery (1920 W Buckley Rd, Libertyville, IL 60048).
