He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Longstreth and Alvan Longstreth. He is survived by: his wife Maria-Viktoria Abricka Longstreth; his son Nicholas; his daughter-in-law Jessica Babbitz Longstreth; his granddaughter Athena Longstreth; and his siblings, Marcia Kearney, Alvina Johnson and Dennis Longstreth.
For many years up to his death, James Longstreth gave a sizeable donation to Diamond Lake School District 76 every year, with anonymity, to help implement programs that would support teachers and students in fanning the sparks of intellectual creativity.
