He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Kolesar and Sharyl Kolesar; his aunt Janet Arsenau; and his uncles, Brian Aresenau, John Kolesar and Ron Kolesar.

He is survived by: his sons, Nicholas and Jonah Kolesar; his siblings, Lisa Hallbick and Michael Kolesar (Cheryl); his nephews, Michael Kolesar, Lucas Kolesar, Chase Kolesar and Paul Hallbick; and his cousins, Chrisanne, Frank and Keleigh Zolnierek.
