He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Wells and Mary LaVerne Wells; and his sister Patricia Wells of Mundelein. He is survived by : his wife Lynn Wells; his children, Gary Wells (Lorye) of Overbrook, OK, Laura Ross (Steve) of Port Townsend, WA and Rhonda Ross-Bast (Scott) of Libertyville; and his grandchildren, Shea Jewell (Jake) of Norman, OK, Bailee Bast of Lexington, KY and Colton Bast of Chicago, IL..

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kristan Funeral Home (219 W Maple Ave, Mundelein, IL 60060). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
