She is survived by: her husband Byron Melgar; her sons, Angel, Mario and Matthew Melgar; her sisters, Elena Corona (Ruben) and Dolores Aranda; her nieces, Corinne Corona and Indrani Aranda; and her friend Miriam Fragoso.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church (22333 W Erhart Rd, Mundelein, IL 60060).
